Over 100,000 WordPress Sites
Are Judged To Be In Danger
Due To A Plugin Vulneralbility

This is a quick post that I hope you will share, like, and retweet.

There are certain examples of malware that are extremely malevolent and hard to git rid of:

Thousands of sites have been blacklisted by Google due to infection with the malware below.

Hidden in the WordPress plugin, Slider Revolution, the SoakSoak.ru malware campaign is particularly dangerous.

Check your blog to see if you have this plugin installed.

Slider Revolution comes installed as part of WordPress themes sold through the Envato and Themeforest marketplaces, so you may not have installed it personally.

You can use this free resource from Sucuri to check your blog to see if it is infected:

SiteCheck Free Resource

Hope your blog is not infected!

Since this blog has been victimized by malware in the past I now use Sucuri's malware detection, cleanup and prevention services

I pay for the "Premium" level of coverage, but since you can alternate websites to be monitored, "Premium" actually can cover more than one website/blog at a time.

Highly recommended!

You Can Be Prevent A

These Plugins Now Or Deal
With A Migraine After Your
Blog Is Attacked And Hacked

I'm writing this post out of the personal experience of having my blog hacked.

The visible evidence was that hyperlinked urls to 3 or 4 different sites began appearing on random posts.

Since I had over 600 posts this was a major problem.

I went online to the WordPress forum and thankfully was directed to the following site:

Did Your WordPress Site Get Hacked?

I finally decided to pay someone experienced to clean up my blog, and he discovered that unauthorized files had been placed in certain blog directories as long ago as September, 2009.

Oops!

Later, I was able to uncover 5 free WordPress plugins that collectively offer a monumental level of protection against the pervasive threat of the hackers.

WordPress File Monitor Plus

BulletProofSecurity

AntiVirus

myEASYbackup

Secure WordPress

Hope these plugins leave your blog safe and secure.

Computer Threats - Beware!!

Thanks To This Valuable Service I
Got Prompt Relief To End A Computer
Nightmare That Was Getting Worse

Don't leave your computer defenseless!

I'm late getting this post out, because my computer was invaded over the last two days and taken over.

I couldn't access my hard drive or my desk top, but I could, fortunately access the Internet.

I was thinking the worst in terms of a computer virus, worm, trojan horse, malware or spyware.

I was blessed to be aware of a service that, for a fee, could diagnose and repair my computer remotely over the Internet.

The diagnosis ruled out viruses, but my computer was overrun by malware.

It was explained to me that the purpose of the malware was to subsequently offer, through a pop-up page, a remedy through download.

The scam would result in my credit or debit card being billed not just for the one time fee, but an infinite unauthorized monthly charge.

And virtually the only way to cure this abuse is to
CANCEL your credit or debit card.

The remedy for my computer ills consisted of removing the malware, but also:

  • Removal of unnecessary start-up applications
  • Scrub all files and registry
  • Defrag
  • Installation of anti-malware freeware

The anti-malware/spyware installed was Malwarebytes

By the way, the free version of
Malwarebytes was the recommended choice.

Check out this very valuable computer diagnostic and repair service and bookmark the page:
