During the several weeks of work necessary to compile this list I must have encountered dozens of bad links.

There is nothing more annoying than waiting 30-60 seconds for a directory page to load only to find that the link is bad.

If you do find any bad links in this list, please leave a comment informing me so.

Please allow 24 hours for a re-check of bad links before you make your comment since many dead links are temporary.

Also, you may suggest additional worthwhile directory or RSS submisson sites to be included in this list through comments.

I will update the blog directory listing based on suggestions weekly.

Second, some fundamental info regarding the use of this list of the Top 101 Blog Directories And RSS Submission Sites.

I have excluded any blog directory that does not offer a free submission alternative.

Keep in mind that your directory submission should be coordinated with promotional efforts with all or most of these alternative techniques:

• Automated Post And Ping
• social bookmarking
• Social networking
• story submission sites
• sustaind link building

Therefore, it is totally unnecesaary to pay a fee to get your blog listed in any directory. Wasted money.

You won’t be able to measure the benefit of paid submissions to your blog traffic if you have all the alternatives listed above in place.

Although, I must admit I have a sneaking admiration for directory owners who are charging a fee and getting away with it!

Next, I do not place any restrictions on how you use this list. Joining these directories creates valuable backlinks.

When you add the directory urls to your own site, you are turning backlinks into reciprocal links.

In most Internet marketing circles backlinks are considered more valuable than reciprocal links. So, you may want to limit the number of directory urls that appear on your site.
