Split Testing Your Banners

From Your Blog’s Home Page
The inspiration for this post came from two sources.
The first source was a post by Alex Mondossian – “What are we ‘Split Testing’ today?”
For the uninitiated split-testing is comparing 2 different versions of various resources such as a banner or a headline.
Then, one or more variables is changed and the impact of that specific change is measured in terms of click thrus or the like.
Well, I am adding a banner to this blog’s home page to help monetize my blog and I want to test what location produces the most clicks.
This is a text link of what I want to promote:
Monetize your blog
The second source for this post was a post from Jack Humphrey ==>> Blog Marketing Guru
Jack’s most recent post concerned an amazing free resource budURL – Click Here
You can shorten any long onerous url with this tool, but also track in real time any clicks on the url you created.
This means if you create two different urls for each location you place a banner, you can track which location produces more clicks.
Simply substitute the budURL in the banner HTML code.
This tool is so easy to use that you must add it to your [tag-tec]make money online[/tag-tec] marketing arsenal.
Also, be sure to add Alex’s split testing post to your library and subscribe to the RSS feed for Jack’s Friday Traffic Report.
