Use This RSS Reader To Keep Close Track Of Quality Content That Suits Your Interests As It Is Published On The Net




Potent RSS Resource


You Can Customize A Single Or
Multiple RSS Readers In Order
To Be Instantly Alerted To
Quality Content In Your Niche


RSS is a very powerful push technology.

By that I mean that instead of searching out a blog or website for quality content, the relevant information is sent out (pushed) to you (your RSS reader).

RSS content is sent via a XML file (what’s that??) so you need a RSS reader to decode it.

There are a number of free RSS readers available (My Yahoo, etc.), but I’m going to limit this post to describing the free RSS reader I use.



First of all, here is what my customized free RSS reader looks like:

Its highly advantageous to have at least one RSS reader narrowly focused on your main niche or area of interest, because its so easy to get distracted.

Follow these 10 quick and easy steps to set up a suitable customized RSS reader for yourself:

  1. Register here

  2. Click the “Return to The Free Dictionary” link in the upper left column once you are logged in.

  3. Click the X at the top right of any content box to eliminate that box from display.

  4. Make a list in your files of RSS feeds you wish to add

  5. Look in left column for box below and add feeds




  6. Drag and drop feeds once entered to any position desired.

  7. Top of 2nd column from left:Click “Save / Send this Page” link

  8. Record the url of your custom page

  9. Make this url your “Start Page” when you log on to your computer (just a suggestion)

  10. Ping the url of your custom page with PingFarm
    Make sure YOUR RSS feed is included on your page (another backlink).

When your custom page is your start page, you will find yourself getting “right down to business” immediately at log on.

You will consistently find quality content that you can retweet, like, or share via social media.

I suggest using a relevant image whenever you share via social media.

I hesitate to call what Bloglovin’ offers a RSS feed since I could not get any url to work in my RSS reader at TheFreeLibrary.com

This is what one of the urls looks like http://www.bloglovin.com/de/blog/2744489/trafficnymphomaniaccom

Basically, you can only subscribe and follow a blog through Bloglovin’ by email or with Facebook.

If Bloglovin’ simplified it’s sign up and follow procedure, it would be a runaway hit, because it displays the post results so beautifully.

On A Particular Area Of Interest


The primary goal of the technique I’m about to describe is a significant increase in targeted traffic.

Another benefit is establishing yourself as an authority figure in the area of focus.

The basic strategy involves creating a special RSS feed that contains multiple urls related to a specific topic and building backlinks to that url.

The 5 steps and resources you’ll need are listed below:

  1. Select 3-6 of your best posts focused on a narrow topic. Make a custom RSS feed with the urls.

    Use Host My RSS to make this custom RSS feed.

    An Example Custom Feed

  2. Submit this feed to selected RSS directories

    3. FeedAge

    FeedCat

    Chordata

    Record directory urls for further promotion.

  3. Ping RSS feed and directory urls using PingFarm

    Bookmark widely the custom RSS feed url. You will attract targeted traffic.

  4. Use Google Blog Search to find recent blog posts that relate to the subject of your custom RSS feed. Or use a like alternative.

    Contribute meaningful blog comments and enter the custom RSS feed url in the Website box.

    Look to see if any keywords are accepted in the name box. If so, enter the most appropriate keyword in the name box.

    Record comment urls (drop “comment#” from url) immediately or go back and record when approved.

  5. Ping the comment urls with PingExpert

    Bookmark some of the blog comment urls, (just the blog comment page url).


The overall effect will be targeted traffic from those interested in your blog post series centered around the narrow area of focus that you chose.

If the posts are of high quality (make sure they are), your authority status will grow particularly when the custom RSS url goes viral.

This formula can be repeated an endless number of times relating to an infinite variety of subjects.

The basic strategy is very simple.

Bookmark and ping certain of your RSS feed directory listings.

First you want to include an appropriate image in every post.

Make the image no larger than 250 X 350 pixels. Place it right under the opening headline as on this post.
