Mea culpa!
This is the second time in five years that I have gone an extended time without publishing any new content on my blog.
This last drought lasted seven weeks.
I tried three different times to publish a post but felt totally uninspired.
So, I have decided to impose some discipline on myself and set up an editorial calendar.
This means I will have a weekly content theme for most posts, and I hope to announce the content schedule a week in advance.
This remaining posts this week are focused on blog content ideas.

If you offer guest posts on your blog, putting your editorial calendar online will likely greatly stimulate submissions.
As I fill in my calendar, my anxiety level is substantially reduced since I have a much more concrete picture in my mind of my publishing path.
There are separate columns in the calendar for:
- Day
- Author
- Topic Due Date
- Post Due Date
- Publication Date
- Category
- Content Type
- Topic
- Keywords
- Status
This is a great asset all bloggers should have in their arsenal.
